We created Amyna around a simple belief: defense innovation moves faster when we work together. With Amyna, Ideon Science Park brings together stakeholders from defense, security, technology, industry, and academia to turn needs into solutions faster – and strengthen our collective defense capabilities.
The technologies, knowledge, and capabilities needed for tomorrow’s defense are already being developed in many places, by startups, researchers, established industry, public authorities, and innovation environments across Sweden and the Nordics.
The challenge is not only to create more innovation. It is to connect what already exists. This is where Amyna creates value.

Amyna Accelerate – a Four-Phase Journey
Phase 1: Immersion
Needs, actors, regulations, and baseline
You will gain a deep understanding of the defense and security ecosystem. This phase focuses on identifying real operational needs, mapping key stakeholders and end users, understanding regulatory and security requirements, and establishing a clear baseline for the technology and company.
Phase 2: Technology & Adaptation
Technology review, requirements and test planning
In this phase, you will refine and adapt your technology to defense-specific requirements. The focus is on technical review, defining performance and compliance requirements, and planning testing and validation activities together with relevant partners and end users.
Phase 3: Market & Scaling
Procurement, partnerships and capital
This phase prepares you for market entry and growth. Gain insight into defense procurement processes, build strategic partnerships with industry and public actors, and strengthen your readiness for investment and scaling.
Phase 4: Showcase & Next Step
Pitch, technology demonstration and partner meetings
The program concludes with a showcase where you present your solutions through pitches and technology demos. This phase focuses on connecting you with potential customers, partners, and investors, and defining clear next steps beyond the program.

Region Skåne provides strategic and financial support to the Amyna defense and dual-use innovation platform, primarily through its Regional Development Committee (Regionala utvecklingsnämnden).
Region Skåne has allocated funding for the project “Civil-military Synergies in Technology and Business Development”, which powers the Amyna platform.

Daniel Persson
Head of Amyna
With a background as an officer in the Swedish Armed Forces, Daniel has a strong foundation in operational leadership and decision-making under uncertainty. He later co-founded Min Doktor and served as CEO of the startup incubator Minc, experiences that strengthened his expertise in mission-driven innovation at the intersection of security, technology, and strategic leadership.
